Why this verdict
Framework threads always split in two: people who want a machine they can repair, and people who wanted a MacBook and are angry they did not get one. We discarded the second pile. Inside the first, the 2026 AMD mainboard has a quieter suspend/resume thread than the 2024 Intel board, and the hinge/bezel QC complaints are not clustering. Sample size is smaller than phone or headphone scans — treat confidence as medium.

Battery, ports, and mainboard swaps are the 5-star proof, not a marketing line. That pattern has not faded.
